De leden van de Raad van Bestuur van Fortis die thans de Nederlands-Belgische grootbank naar de kloten helpen door grootsheidswaanzin, zakkenvullerij en incompetentie blijken samen maar liefst 61 nevenfuncties te bekleden waarvan 16 bij andere beursgenoteerde ondernemingen. Hierbij zitten uiterst zware bestuursfuncties zoals voorzitter van de RvC van NYSE Euronext (Hessels), voorzitter RvB Solvay (Michielsen), bestuurder Groep Brussel Lambert (Lippens) en non-excecutive bij Tate & Lyle PLC (Delbridge). Voorzitter Lippens maakt het helemaal bont door naast het leiderschap van Fortis ook nog eens de grootste participatiemaatschappij van Belgie te besturen alsmede aan de touwtjes te trekken bij de belangrijkste Belgische telco Belgacom. De klucht wordt compleet als we lezen dat Lippens ook nog eens ‘voorzitter is van de Commissie Corporate Governance Belgie’.
